கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டம் கிட்டம்பட்டி கிராமத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஜெகன் வயது 28 இவர் டைல்ஸ் வேலை செய்து வருகிறார் .இவர் கடந்த ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு முன்பு கிருஷ்ணகிரி மாவட்டம் அவதானப்பட்டி அருகே உள்ள முழுக்கான் கொட்டாய் பகுதியைச் சேர்ந்த சங்கர் என்பவரின் மகள் சரண்யாவை கடந்த ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு முன்பு காதலித்து திருமணம் செய்து கொண்டார். இந்நிலையில் இந்த காதல் திருமணம் காதலியின் பெற்றோருக்கு பிடிக்காத நிலையில் இன்று மதியம் ஜெகன் கிட்டம்பட்டியில் இருந்து டைல்ஸ் வேலை செய்வதற்கு காவேரிப்பட்டணம் நோக்கி சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார். அப்போது ஜெகனை வழிமறித்த அவரது மாமனார் சங்கர் மற்றும் அவரது உறவினர்களோடு ஜெகனை வழிமறித்து அவனது கழுத்தை கத்தியால் அறுத்து உள்ளனர்.
இதில் ஜெகன் சம்பவ இடத்திலேயே உயிரிழந்தார் இந்நிலையில் பொதுமக்கள் அங்கு விரைந்து வந்து பார்க்கும்போது சங்கர் மற்றும் அவருடன் வந்த நபர்கள் தப்பித்து ஓடி விட்டனர். தகவல் அறிந்த காவேரிப்பட்டணம் போலீசார் சம்பவ இடத்திற்கு விரைந்து வந்தனர் அப்போது ஜெகனின் உடலை எடுக்க விடாமல் பொதுமக்களும் உறவினர்களும் போலீசார் உடன் வாக்குவாதத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர். சாலை மறியலில் ஈடுபட்டனர் இதனால் கிருஷ்ணகிரி தர்மபுரி தேசிய நெடுஞ்சாலையில் சுமார் 2 மணி நேரம் போக்குவரத்து பாதிக்கப்பட்டது.
இதைத் தொடர்ந்து கிருஷ்ணகிரி காவல்துறை துணை கண்காணிப்பாளர் தமிழரசி, மாவட்ட காவல் கண்காணிப்பாளர் சராஜ் குமார், தாகூர் ஆகியோர் சம்பவ இடத்திற்கு விரைந்து வந்து உறவினரிடம் சமாதானமாக பேசியதன் அடிப்படையில் பொதுமக்கள் அங்கிருந்து கலைந்து சென்றனர். இதைத்தொடர்ந்து ஜெகனின் உடல் கிருஷ்ணகிரி அரசு மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மருத்துவமனைக்கு பிரேத பரிசோதனைக்காக அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டது இந்த சம்பவத்தால் டேம் ரோடு பகுதியில் பரபரப்பாக காணப்பட்டது.
